My wonderful georgous friend Carina is always a wealth of information about anything and everything. Especially if it comes to healthy eating and living, or skin care. So the other night we were chatting about different foods, and veggie burgers came up. We both agree that Morningstar Farms makes the best veggies burgers!! But what I didnt know, is that they have more awesome products other than veggie burgers. They make veggie corndogs. She told me they were good. My Wal-Mart has a new section in the freezer aisle that is ALL Morningstar Farms products. Low and behold, I spotted the corndogs and me being very curious, decides to buy them. The recommended cooking method is the oven for 20 minutes. I just ate the corndog. Inhaled would actually be a better word. It was delicious. And I am not kidding when I say that it tasted just like a real meat corndog! How do they do that? I cant wait to try all of their products. I dont have any intention of giving up meat entirely. But I could definitely eat Morningstar Farms pretty regularly.
P.S.
Its Friday!!!!
Its time to do some Wii Fit.
I am getting a lot better at Yoga.
I found out that I cant do push-ups.

Excuse me, this is MY basket!!
Ok so I am about to Wii Fit, but I first just had to blog about Wal-Mart. UGH!
So I ran in today right after work to pick up a few things. I got everything I needed (well not everything, since I only had 40.00 on me) and I went to the check out. The minute I stepped in front of my cart to put my merchandise on the belt, a lady got in line behind me. But she didnt just get behind me, she was almost on me! She walked right up to my basket, like it was her basket. I thought it was a little wierd so I pulled my basket toward me. She then took a GIANT step forward to put herself directly next to my basket again. I was thinking, man this lady is wierd, and rude. I mean... who does that??? My purse was in the basket, so this is why it was bothering me so much. I was almost done putting my stuff up on the belt when I looked back at her and noticed that she had put her hands on my cart, and did the whole "foot rest" thing on it. You know, the foot rest thing, when you put your hands on the cart, and pick one foot up and rest it on the bottom of the cart. Its a common stance for those standing in line at a Wal-Mart checkstand.. but normally people do it on their own basket, not just some random basket they happen to walk up to that already has someones purse and groceries in it. But anyway, when I saw her do that I CAME UNGLUED!!!! I grabbed the front of my basket and I YANKED it and said "Excuse me!!! This is MY basket!!!" LOL! I must have looked like the biggest bitch ever, but oh well. Maybe she will learn something from it. I mean I know its Wal-Mart and all, most people that shop there leave their manners in the car, but come on. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Never fear, the Wii Fit is here!
Well its been here for a week, but that is besides the point.
I have been using it. OMG! I am in love. I love this game! Its like a game, but I am working out at the same time. It loves me too. I have a male trainer. I like to call him Bob and pretend that he is Bob from The Biggest Loser.
The Wii Fit tells me my BMI everyday (yikes), and also my weight if I want it to.
It keeps track of my progress, and the amount of minutes I am on it. It monitors my balance too, which helps with posture. The Wii Fit and I play games like soccor, ski jump, and hula hoop. We also do jogging, step aerobics, and Yoga. The workouts are fierce!!!!
Go here to see some shots of the Wii Fit, and all of the cool stuff it does. I dont even have close to half of the exercises unlocked. Which is fine, because I suck at a lot of them. But I am getting better.
I want to tell everyone out there that would like a really awesome and fun home workout, to get this machine, and get the Wii Fit balance board for it. It will be one of the best $350 (total for the system and wii fit) investments you will ever make. Even if you only use it for excercising alone, you wont be disappointed. If comes with 5 really fun games already (bowling, tennis, golf, baseball, and boxing) that you can play with your DH, friends, kids, etc.
Go get a Wii Fit people!!!!

Memorial Day
So Dennis wanted to make sure he made it out to the cemetery to put flowers on the grandparents' graves today. We bought a couple of bouquets at the nursery, and today we went out there.
It was another gorgeous day. During Memorial weekend, the cemetery has all these flags set up for all of the military vets that are buried there. Its so beautiful.
Dennis drove up to the general vacinity where his grandparents are buried. But I immediatly spotted the grave stone that would actually be the kids' great grandparents on their mom's side. They placed a bouquet on their grave.
Dennis's grandparents are just right down the row from there. His dad and uncle had already been there. We left a bouquet for them too. Dennis spent a moment alone.
I never got to meet his grandparents. His grandma has been gone for years, but I met Dennis just shortly after his grandpa passed.
While we were driving up and around the back end of the cemetery, Bubba spotted Grandpa Clarence's flag. Dennis hasnt seen his flag before. And it was right on the road. We were so lucky that Bubba spotted it. Because there are hundreds of flags out there, and its hard to read the names.
So, yesterday we bought two bouquets. One for Den's Grandparents, and one for the kid's great grandparents. The truth is, is that my grandma is also buried in this cemetery, and I havent been to her grave since she was buried almost 8 years ago. I wasnt planning on going out there with Dennis. I wasnt even exactly sure of where her grave was located. My grandma was a very special person. She loved me so much, I know it because she told me, all the time. I spent more time with her during my childhood than I did my other grandparents. Mostly because we lived in the same town. She really did march to her own beat, everything I remember about her is all positive, funny, inspiring, and warm. I felt like I really owed it to her to pay her a visit. Heck, I owed it to the whole family. We stopped at Safeway on the way to the cemetery and I got a bouqet of pink carnations. She loved carnations. We drove around and searched for a long time and couldnt find her grave. Finally I spotted the directory, so I ran in there and I found her listing. I took off running across the grass and it still took me a while to find it. On the way to it, I spotted Cindy's dad's grave. Just about 20 yards away was my grandma's. Dennis brought the car around to meet me there. My grandpa had already been there. He grows those roses for my Grandma. There was a memorial service going on right next to my grandma's grave, no joke. I really wanted to talk to her. But with that going on, I just layed down the flowers. And studied her stone, and my grandpa's side of the stone too.
I am so glad that I went out there. I am definitely going out there more now that I have gotten over those fears. I dont know if anyone in my family really knows that I have never been there. I am sure that if my grandpa found out, that he would be really upset with me. That is why I didnt want to have to call him to ask him where my grandma was buried. I will never forget now.

My weekend so far
I gotta say, so far it has been great. I have been super motivated to do stuff. Cleaning, laundry, planting flowers, playing games with the kids, cooking, etc. It has been just an awesome time for family. When Dennis told me about all the people he had invited over last night, I was a little grouchy about it. But everything worked out great. We barbequed last night, sat outside all night and chatted. The kids all rode bikes and played outside until after dark (i loved doing that when I was a kid), the guys watched the fight, and the girls drank Pear Vodka and chilled in the yard. It was just so relaxing, and good food too!!
Today I have been doing some laundry, played some Uno Attack together as a family, then Dennnis took us to Kopacz Nursery to get some flowers for the yard pots. I am not done planting yet, but the lawn guy showed up right when I was about to plant my mint, so I had to get out of his way and come inside. Yesterday we went to some yard sales and I got this adorable little bench/table thing for the front of the house for $5.00!!! It has a lid that opens up and I can put my little garden tools, and the bbq tools in it. Our poor bbq, that old charcoal thing is going on its 4th summer. I really need to think about getting Den a new one for father's day.
Its a gorgeous day out....... peace!

Shrimp, walnuts, and honeydew.....
I have a culinary boner right now...... if you watch Top Chef, you will understand that.
So its getting really hot outside and the kids have outgrown their summer clothes so we darted up to Tri's today to buy them some. Our first stop though was Sonic, because I am incapable of going up there and NOT lugging around a Rt 44 Cherry Lime-ade all day. And I decided to try those little Mac and Cheese snacks. OMG! Have you tried these? They are great!! I was a little sketchy of them, I mean come on, deep fried Mac and Cheese? Wierd. But really, they are delish!!
Last time I was at Costco I spotted a bunch of clothes, so that is where we started. Swim suits, swim shorts, 4 cases of water, juice, lotion, sun block, etc, and dropped $140.00 there!! Spent another $80.00 at Target.
Tri's has a new P.F. Changs and it has become Dennis and I's favorite spot to eat dinner. We had a 3:30 reservation (because its so new, you NEED a reservation so you can get in) but we were so hungry at 2:00 we decided to see if we could get in. It was suprisingly dead and we got right in. This place has the greatest service of any restaurant. So anyway, since we love this place so much we want to try like everything on the menu. My friend told me about this great dish that is Shrimp with candied walnuts and honeydew melon. I thought it sounded wierd but I still wanted to try it. So we got the lettuce wraps as an appetizer, and those are the bomb! Then for entrees we got the orange peel beef, and the above mentioned shrimp dish. That shrimp dish was probably about the best thing I have ever tasted in my life. I never thought something like that could taste so good, and Dennis agrees, he absolutely loved it. And now, my friends, I have a culinary boner!! ..... and lots of leftovers. Eat at P.F. Changs people!!!!

Treadmill for Sale!
Dennis is going to kill me for doing this. But really. I know I have only had it for a few short months. But, its not what I thought it would be. I have no where to put it where I can get any privacy. When I was on it regularly, Dennis would sit there behind me on the computer. I would ask him to leave the room and leave me alone, and he couldnt understand why. Ugh, this thing is causing me visual stress. I hate clutter!!! I hate having to tip toe and scoot around an obstacle just to get to my side of the bed. I would like my bedroom to be more of a comfortable domain. I dont want it anymore. I just need accept that, put it up for sale, hope that someone buys it, and move on!!! Maybe someday when I live in a place with more room, I will get another one.

Biting the bullet
Well, the toothache is gone. For now anyways. I found a lovely dentist office that got me in today and helped me out. I got to try gas for the first time and OMG it was wonderful. I love the gas.
So here is the story, because I know you all want to read about my trip to the dentist. On Sunday I start to get this awful toothache, which isnt too uncommon, due to the fact that I have a broken tooth (#14 tooth to be exact). Usually I just brush and swish water around and the ache goes away. Then I thank my lucky stars that I have dodged a trip to the dentist. I hate the dentist. But this wasnt the case on Sunday, the ache didnt go away. Some Tylenol helped until the middle of the night when the ache woke me up. Took some Advil and Oragel and went back to bed. Monday I knew that a trip to the dentist was necessary so I started calling around. All of the dentists that I called were either out of town or not taking new patients. I finally found one that would get me in on Wednesday, so I took it. And that leads me to today. The ache was the worst last night and today. Kept me up all night, even after having to resort to my stash of Vicotin pills.
I had anxiety about the dentist all day. Almost to tears sometimes. Went to the dentist and from the minute the nurse lady took me back she made me feel very comfortable. I was still apprehensive but at least more comfortable about having it fixed. When she told me I needed a root canal I almost broke down. That was like my worst nightmare. I opted to get the "gas mask" even though my insurance doesnt pay for it. Bastards. I am sooo glad I did that. The gas made me feel, I dont know....awesome??? I was laughing and telling sarcastic jokes, I probably looked like a complete idiot. I was really excited that I couldnt even feel the injections at all!!! The type of root canal that I got was called a "pulp" and now I have a temporary filling which is like cement in my mouth and tastes like cloves. I have to go back in a month and get the full blown root canal and a crown. Yay me. Not looking forward to it, but right now my pain is gone. Everything is still a little numb, and I dont feel the best. I think I have a hangover from the gas.
So anyway, I kind of see this as a good step for me. I finally went to the dentist after, oh nine or ten years. *gasp*. And I plan on going back until my mouth is fixed. When its all done, I can eat food like a normal person. The hygenist is going to put me on a preventative maintenance program. I am already an avid brusher, but after this I just might become compulsive!!!
OMG this has been the most boring post ever.... my apologies.

I just wanted to add......
and guess what????????
I am typing this from....... my new laptop!! Remember from the picture below. Well it arrived today, only took one week I was soooooo suprised!!!!
Anyway I really like it, and I get to steal the neighbors wireless internet. So I can lay in bed and talk to people, or do whatever I want.
Getting used to Windows Vista is really weird. And that is really all I have to say about it right now, other than its super cute!!

My weekend project
Well here is my little ugly hodge podgey dining room. LOL! And this is after I cleaned it and made more space in it last weekend. Believe me, the way it looks now in these pics is a drastic improvement from what it looked like before. But I am ready to change it even more. So here I go!!!
This is the before pic, and I have a small "project" I am starting on tonight.
I am hoping that it will look a lot better. Minus the fact that I will still have the same ugly carpet and dining room chairs. Just ignore those, k? Especially when I am done.

Doctor visit
Well, I had my yearly 'you know what' today. I was able to tell me doctor about all my stuff I have been having going on lately. She gave me the following website:
http://www.soulcysters.com/index.html
And while its not confirmed that I have been diagnosed with this disorder, just going on the website has given me a lot of insight as to why I sometimes feel the way that I do. I am being reminded about how much your bodily stuff is linked to diet. And thats a reality check, and its sad. I will know more after my glucose tolerance test, and my saliva test next week.

Change...
Today I felt a desperate need for change.
The bakers rack in my dining room had become a huge eyesore, and a catch-all. I have been thinking about getting rid of it for a long time, and my dear friend Cindy has been expressing some interest into taking it off my hands. So anyway, today I got the urge to empty it all out and shove it half way into my trunk and drive the 2 blocks over to Cindy's and drop it off. It really was funny that I got it in my car, but I am so glad that it is gone!
My dining room looks so different, I moved the small kids table over to where the bakers rack was and turned that into a little study/homework table. All it took was the little desk organizer that I won at yesterday's crop, and a $.50 lamp that I bought at a yard sale a few weeks ago.
To add even more room to the space I took the leaf out of the big table, since we dont need a table that big. I also hung the new sign that I bought yesterday at Craft Warehouse with my 40% off ticket. Yay!!!
I cant wait to paint this space, and I am thinking that this coming weekend is looking good for doing that. But we'll see.
On to other things, I have gotta say that the crop yesterday was soooo much fun!!!! I was able to get 4 layouts done. And I think I ate a cupcake for each layout completed. oooops! It was really nice to hang out with the cool girls all day. We definitely had the most fun at the crop. We got our own little room with 4 other rowdy ladies and just had a blast!! They brought a laptop and played chick flicks on it all day. Got to watch Sweet Home Alabama, and How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, two of my faves!!!! The lime-ade at Sonic was excellent as always, and the taco bar at the crop was delish!! It was a perfect National Scrapbook Day!!!

Lets talk about NSD......
no its not some horrible sexually transmitted disease.....
What it does mean, is National Scrapbook Day.
Its a very special day, that only comes around once a year.
A day for cropping, laughing, hangin with my BFF's, and eating way too much junk food.
Tomorrow, we crop! I am so ready to get creative, and I know, I always say that. Then when the times comes to actually do it, I cant. Lately its been so hard to even get one tiny creative thought to enter my brain, and then stay in my brain long enough for my brain to tell my body to execute it. So sad.
So anyway, tomorrow is about my girls and spending some good time with them in a new crop space. I am so exited for Sonic Lime-ade!!!!
