Highlights from this weekend......

* Nice weather

* Finding some kick ass vinyl albums at a yard sale. (Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, The Police, Top Gun Soundtrack, Dirty Dancing soundtrack, just to name a few) They are in excellent condition, and only .50 a piece!!!

* Cleaned my bedroom closet. Not cleaned OUT, just cleaned.

* Nicole broke things off with the cute boy..... broke his poor little heart.

* Late night cruise in the hot rod Saturday night.

* Watched the movie, 21. And it was excellent!

* Stuffed a beer up a chicken's ass.

* LOL, to the above one, we had a family dinner today, complete with beer butt chicken, homemade biscuits, corn on the cobb, watermelon, taters and gravy. Oh, and chocolate dream pie.

* Cleaned out my car, you know, cleaned it, vacuumed, and washed it. Now the wash job isnt the greatest, we have horrible water pressure at home. Need to take it to a real good car wash.

* Nicole decided that she liked the boy again......

* Watched both Overboard, and 10 Things I Hate About You, TWICE. Each.

Now, I am watching Design Star, and next is the finale of Food Network Star.

Later Skater....

ice cream cake anyone?

I just saw a commercial for DQ ice cream cake and it looked yummmy!!!

So, anyway, no real news to report here. I have had a couple people ask about "the date" and I wanted to give an update....

First of all there was no date. It didnt happen. The boy texted her and told her that "some stuff came up that he had to take care of." So what 18 yr old boy has stuff so completely serious? T think he;s a little shy and got cold feet. Oh well. He got a hold of her later, and asked her to hang out, but she just told him that she would see him at the drags on Sunday. They talked all weekend on myspace, and text messaging. They see each other, on Sunday, at the drags. Freaking kids!! Do you think they used the opportunity to say one word to each other????? NO!!!! He spent the whole time, sitting about 2 rows behind her, and she spent the whole time applying lip gloss and looking at her own reflection in my sunglasses. Ugh, she drove me nuts. LOL!!! So, anyway, the races get over, and we are all on our ways home and they start texting. Ahhh, teen love. He tells her that he was sorry he didnt say anything, he felt "awkward with everyone there." Poor kid, its understandable I guess. The whole thing is cracking me up. I just love being nosey, and Nicole tells me EVERYTHING that they talk about. She is really open about everything, and I really LOVE that about her. I wasnt that way with my parents, or anyone in my family for that matter.

Anyway, Im outta here, I will update more on this soap opera at a later time...

Oooooh, we should think of a name for the soap opera.... How about?

"Hormones of our lives"

LOL

Quick Update

So its been a very long week. No reason in particular, its just dragging to no end. But I do see some light at the end of the tunnel. Tomorrow, my friends, is FRIDAY!!! I hope the day goes fast. Here is what we have in store for the weekend:

Work tomorrow.
Dad is coming to town.
Having a bbq tomorrow night at my grandpa's house.
Heading to Portland Saturday morning.
Neice's 1st birthday party on Saturday afternoon.
Family dinner Saturday night.
Family breakfast Sunday morning.
Drag Races in Woodburn all day Sunday.
Come home Sunday night.
Yay.

So here is a cool thing happening around here.... Nicole has a date tomorrow night!! OMG! I am probably more excited than she is. She is going to the movies with a boy, and another boy and his girlfriend. One problem: she hasnt asked dad yet, and is afraid to. I just hope that he is understanding about it. I mean, she is approaching 17 years old. And going to the movies on a friday night, its no big thing. We cant really ask for a better boy to be asking her out. We know him, we know his parents, he has a job, he has a diploma, and a good personality. So..... hopefully all goes well, and she can have a good time. She has been cooped up in this house all night everynight since she has been here. I feel for her. I wish there was something that I could do, but when I have to be to work every morning, its hard to hang out until midnight everynight. LOL.

Stimulating dinner conversation

I know, I get it. Siblings argue.....

Dad: Harley? What did you do at the library today?
Bubba: Cheated!
Harley: I did my thing, I'll tell you later!
Bubba: I saw you cheating at that game!
Harley: It was I SPY!! I found it, it was a bumble bee!
Bubba: That is not I Spy, I Spy is played way differently.
Harley: They call it I spy and that is what I played Bubba!
Bubba: I spy a dog, I spy a butterfly
Harley: I spy EAT YOUR DINNER!!
Bubba: I spy leave me alone!
Harley: Knock Knock
Bubba: Leave me alone
Harley: Leave me alone who?
Bubba: Use your brain Harley
Harley: You dont even have a brain!

Home by myself.
Dinner by myself.

I just created a MASTERPIECE for my taste buds!!!!

1 Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime Patty (baked in the toaster oven for 15 min)
+
homemade Tzatziki sauce (greek yogurt, diced green onions, fresh mint, garlic, lemon juice, and some Pampered Chef greek seasoning)
+
1 chopped up farm fresh cucumber
+
some shredded lettuce
+
a sprinkle of Feta Cheese
+
a whole wheat Pita pocket

= a wonderful homemade "Greek Gyro"

I am in LOVE!!!

I dont know how this all came in to place. I just saw ingredients and started mixing. I so wanted to take a picture, but couldnt bear the thought of putting down the pocket.
